In this seminar, we'll explore common challenges we face in homeschooling and ways to simplify our approach, implement helpful systems, and cultivate a sustainable homeschooling experience. As believing moms, we draw strength from the knowledge that God equips us for this journey. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple perspective shift to navigate the tough days and embrace the joys of home education!

The earth is wearing out just like the Bible said it would. The earth is undergoing changes that can be seen everywhere. Why do volcanoes erupt? Why are there earthquakes? Why do rocks fall from the sky? What are comets? Why are there unique weather patterns? Is the earth warming? If so, why? Why are all continents shifting toward the Pacific? What produces El Niños? What does the mid-Atlantic Ridge have to do with the west Pacific? Etc. The answers are all related, & might surprise you!

Are we teaching the right things at the right time? Will there be gaps if we teach outside the box? This session is all about fostering a LOVE of learning and creating a flexible, interest-driven curriculum all while meeting the academic needs of your kids and keeping the important things in focus.

Mike Farris has been a legal and political leader in state, national, and international causes for over 40 years. He has also a highly seasoned educational leader as the Founding President of Patrick Henry College. At PHC, he taught constitutional law and coached the moot court team to 12 national championships and one world title.

He has taken all this experience and developed a new civics curriculum that uses story telling and real life examples to make an essential subject come alive in an inspiring way. Parents and children will all benefit from this session.

Mike and Vickie Farris were homeschooling pioneers starting in 1982. They continuously taught their children amassing a total of 33 years of homeschooling. Now, all 31 of their grandchildren have been or will be homeschooled.

This session is designed to blend practical advice with important spiritual insights that will help both newcomers and veteran homeschooling families.
